A member asked:

During the exact point of implantation, is the embryo connected to my blood supply and oxygen?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Even before implantation, the embryo is dependent on your blood supply to the endometrium for nutrition and oxygen. Strictly speaking, embryo is never directly connected to your blood supply. Placenta separates your blood from fetal blood but allows exchange of oxygen, nutrients and waste.
