True?false? laying on ur back during pregnancy slows the return of blood to the heart which reduces blood flow to the fetus less oxygen less nutrients

True: The big vessels that supply blood to the uterus are under the uterus. When you lay on your back, the weight of the uterus compresses these blood vessels so that there is less blood flow to the baby. Its best to sleep on your left or right sides. Best wishes!

Depends: early in pregnancy lying on your back is fine. Later in the third trimester some women may be advised to lay on their left side to reduce blood pressure or in cases of poor fetal growth. However, for most women lying on your back is compensated with an increase in your pulse and the oxygen level to the baby is fine. So, for some this is true, but in general is false.
