Im supposed to take ibuprofen every 6 hours after my wisdom tooth extraction, every time i take it my heart rate increases and i sometimes get palpitations. what could this be?

Pain meds are taken if needed... are you in pain? If not, stop taking them. If so, try a different maed such as Tylenol.

It's possible you are taking too large of a dose of Ibuprofen, or that you are having an allergic response. Report your reaction to your Oral Surgeon. He/she can then place you on an alternative analgesic. If you are also taking antibiotic it may also be involved. Call your Surgeon.
