In order to feel well rested from sleep, a couple of factors coming to play. 1st, your body needs to be able to get into deep stage IV sleep to feel the quality of the sleep. If your sleep has disruptions you will not get that stage of sleep. 2nd, we sleep in 90-100 min intervals before starting another round of sleep stages. Awakening in the middle of a deep sleep stage also causes lethargy.

I suggest a general medical exam to rule out anemia, hypothyroidism & other medical problems which could cause excessive tiredness. Nutritional deficits & depression could also cause this problem. I wish you well with your health!
