People generally get COVID-19 from direct contact with someone who is infected or through airborne transmission. “It is possible for people to be infected through contact with contaminated surfaces or objects (fomites), but the risk is generally considered to be low,” the CDC said in its updated guidelines. After 8 days you have no worries.

If you have any concerns, a spray disinfectant may be used. Generally, by eight days on most surfaces, the virus is not viable.
