Kidney stone pain is usually on the flank or back and is most of the time severe when radiating to the groin. If it persists have your MD check you.

Although kidney stones may be causative, a symptoms named "anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome" (ACNES) with chronic abdominal pain, positive Carnett's sign and more common on the right and in women, with response to injection of local anesthetic has been reported. Kidney stones cause significantly greater pain than described.
