.: Meconium aspiration in itself does not cause stroke or seizures. Any form of decreased oxygen supply to baby in-utero might cause meconium in amniotic fluid. So the stroke might have even been in-utero. And also child needs lots of evaluation including eeg and MRI to see where the epilepsy foci is and if it is in the same place she had her stroke.

Possible relation: An injury to the left side of the brain may cause seizure activity on the right side of the body. An injury on the right side of the brain would not. Yet it may not be a coincidence that a brain injury and a seizure are related. It is possible that the location of the brain injury was not described accurately.
