If i may of ovulated on my own cd 13, should i still use the trigger shot (cd 14 am)? i was instructed to do the trigger on cd 14 after my ultrasound on cd 12. i have no way of knowing for sure if i did ovulate or not on my own?

Without knowing for certain whether ovulation has taken place, the "trigger shot" will not cause any harm, and if your period is delayed, getting an HCG serum test may show up as positive, but that is what is contained in the typical "trigger shot". If your period is delayed for a week or more, see your GYN for guidance.
