A member asked:

Hello! i have a very large growth on my labia that i have been told by my obgyn is natural and will not harm me. however, it gets very irritated and interferes with my daily life. (using the bathroom, walking) is my only option plastic surgery?

Redundant or asymmetric labial growth may be normal tissue. Obtain a second opinion to determine if a biopsy is necessary, but surgery may be required to obtain a satisfactory cosmetic effect. Your gyn physician may be qualified to perform such, so inquire accordingly.
