Irregular menstrual periods are common. The fluctuations of estrogen and progesterone can be easily affected by stress, weight gain/loss, exercise, lack of sleep, thyroid problems, and uterine/ovarian issues. Since you responded appropriately to the Progesterone challenge and are able to menstruate, you might want to consider starting hormonal supplementation. Talk to your Gyn Dr.
