A member asked:

Will an im vaccine still reach the muscle if it is accidentally administered into the subcutaneous tissue?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The important thing is not for the vaccine to reach the muscles but to reach a place where the body can recognize it as foreign and respond to it to develop a reaction that builds immunity. It is possible that if it is in the subcutaneous tissue that it could still be immunogenic enough to elicit a response.
