We have done pap smears for decades before we knew a link between HPV and cervical cancer ( but its not the only cause). Since LSIL lesions are just a "maybe gonna get bad" indicator you can live life as you would otherwise. You just need to follow-up with your doc on their schedule. Future paps may be worse/need treatment, or better-no treatment but a return to the normal periodic monitoring.

Follow your doctor's advice for repeat PAPs. Get HPV vaccine to prevent infection with cancer causing strains of this virus. Unless you wish to get pregnant, do not have unprotected sex. If you have unprotected sex you not only risk pregnancy but a whole variety of STDs. Wish you good health!
