A member asked:

What are the symptoms of having a medial extrusion in the left knee? would this be a mensicus tear? does this require surgery? pain on the medial side

Prob Meniscus: Although the phrase "medial extrusion" is an unusual description of a condition of the knee, it sounds as if you are dealing with a medial meniscus tear with instability of the meniscus. Most meniscal injuries/tears will not heal on their own due to the lack of blood supply. Surgery is therefore often indicated. See an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation.
