I experienced an anaphylactic reaction from compazine. what is the ingredient that im likely allergic to? could it be polyethylene glycol? im concerned that because this ingredient is in covid vaccine that i could have similar anaphylactic reaction?

Compazine belongs to a category of drug called phenothiazines. Very commonly used (nausea, anxiety. stomach upset). If reaction to any one in group you should avoid all Polyethylene glycol VERY unlikely. Take the vaccine but tell the person giving you the shot. You probably should remain at the center for an extra 15-30 minutes, just to be extra safe.

An intense reaction to Compazine is most likely triggered by the actual drug not the random fillers present in trace amounts used to bind the drug into a usable form & preserve its shelf life.

COVID 19 vaccination allergic reactions are not common. I would recommend a consultation with an Allergist. The benefits of the COVID 19 vaccine may outweigh the risks in your case. The clinic may administer the vaccine and request that you wait to monitor for any reactions for a longer period of time than usual.
