What is the best way to feel less suicidal, i've been struggling with this for at least 6 years and it's getting unbearable?

Please see a psychiatrist ASAP to help you through this struggle. Have you attempted suicide? You won't succeed without help from a mental health professional. Cognitive therapy and most likely appropriate medication( may be temporary)will be effective. Continuing follow-up is also very necessary.

If your suicidal thoughts become plans please go to the ER. Have a physical exam by a Dr. to rule out illness. The most complete evaluation for medication is with a Psychiatrist. Please consult with a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in multiple types of psychotherapy to help with coping.

This at times could be a medical emergency and you need to enlist professionals ASAP to help you cope. Have found that these chronic issues often respond to a cognitive-behavioural therapy program, and added aerobic exercise. Modification of eating habits may be beneficial. A psychiatrist might prescribe appropriate medications.
