Migraine auras do occur in some without the headache. Initially, there maybe sparkling bright lights obscuring vision associated with visual field loss. Difficulty with thinking, and speaking, associate with facial or limb numbness and tingling may follow. In hemiplegic migraine, transient paralysis on one side may occur. Most classical migraine auras are transient, lasting about 10-20 minutes
