I assume there has been no injury to your rib cage and you have no lung infection symptoms such as cough, chills, fever, shortness of breath. A common cause of your type of sharp, shooting chest pain on a deep breath is a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2ribs. These usually resolve on their own after several days or so. Avoid straining your rib cage. Get reexamined as needed.
