May be related to sinusitis or reflux ( or sinusitis due to reflux) . Can try over the counter famotidine or omeprazole, elevate head of bed , consider use of antihistamine if seasonal allergies and please follow up with MD as may need antibiotics to get rid of the sinusitis.

One condition that I would consider here is laryngopharyngeal reflux. This is a somewhat difficult condition to diagnose and treat. Occasionally it does respond to classic GERD therapy so it's worth trying omeprazole or famotidine for as10 days as well as avoiding alcohol, nicotine, excess caffeine, spicy&oily foods. It's recommended that you be evaluated by an ENT specialist first, however.
