Cornstarch is empty calories, providing only carbohydrates similar to eating sugar. It is a flour like substance made in the corn milling process. It has no protein or fat & no vitamin value. The only difference from eating sugar is it takes a little longer for the body to process. Though it has energy production value any consumed in excess of the bodies need is stored as complex carbs or fat.
