HIV can be positive for years without symptoms. There are some rare people (which I have personally seen twice) with HIV who never have a lowered T cell count so it would not show up on regular lab tests. Get an HIV test

Agree with Dr. R. Get yourself and your daughter tested. God forbid either one of you tests positive, there are effective treatments, which it taken regularly ensure a near normal life span. Wish you good health!
