Floaters are common, especially if you are using corrective lenses. However, if it has gotten worse by time or if you have problem with peripheral vision (you can test your self and compare both eyes), you need to see an ophthalmologist as soon as possible.

Floaters can be normal in young people, especially if they have myopia (nearsighted), however if they are persistent and worsening of follow-up exam is recommended.
