A doctor has provided 1 answer

If the U/S and the medical records support irregular bleeding episodes (anovulatory cycles) , a diagnosis of PCOS is appropriate. Unless pregnancy is desired, which may require ovulation induction by a fertility MD, treatment with low dose bcps is indicated to avoid sustained estrogen levels which can later cause endometrial changes with adverse progression.
