A member asked:

How to help a singing induced sore throat that has been present for a week plus?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably 1 of the most helpful things you could do would be to rest your voice. When you lose your voice from straining, singing, the vocal chords and surrounding tissues become irritated and swollen. When you rest your voice these changes begin to move toward normal again and your voice will return. Continue with lots of fluids to stay hydrated and expect that this could return within 5-7 days.
