If you are unable to remove contact lens from your eye, you should be an eye professional as soon as possible. You may develop complications such as ischemia ( poor circulation ) to cornea, inflammation and infection. If the contact lens is not an extended wear contact lens for overnight use, then it is important not to "overwear" the contact lens.

It depends of what type of contact lens are you using. If the contact lens should be replaced daily, it has to be removed immediately. Over wear of the contact lenses can lead to severe, vision threatening complications.
