Husband to have a balloon angioplasty. he has been hypertensive for a number of years; only just started bp meds 6 mo ago. how great a risk is this procedure & what should i prepare for? (his dr. wouldn't answer this question, just said wait and see?

The risk of this procedure depends on how complex the blockage are, which vessels are affected , coexisting problems adding to the complexity such as calcification, any kidney problems etc. Also whether this is a single artery or multiple vessels.
