A "bulky uterus" may reflect "fibroid" growth of the myometrium (smooth muscle layer) which can enlarge the uterine volume. A thickened endometrium (the lining of the uterus) can reflect continued estrogen production without regular ovulation. Unless there is pronounced discomfort or bleeding disturbing your "quality of life", ask your gyn provider about low dose oral bcp's,not surgery.
