Do internal cotton stitches dissolve or degrade, and how long would it take to dissolve?? could you see it through ct or mri?

Cotton stitches will dissolve. Depending upon the thickness of the suture will determine how long it will take to dissolve. It is also a function of your own body and how it dissolves it. Depending how deep they are they can be felt through the skin. And MRI should pick up stitches for viewing . But might be difficult if they’re in the process of dissolving.
