By now the medication should be out of your system. You should check with your doctor regarding the dose of nifedipine. It may be what the dose needs to be reduced so that you get the benefit of the medicine without those side effects.

It's a reasonable thing to try - WITH the KNOWLEDGE and SUPERVISION of your DOCTOR. Doing otherwise is EXTREMELY unwise and reckless. You're taking the nifedipine for a reason (presumably hypertension). You need to be checking your BP frequently, meaning more than once a day. Call your doctor IMMEDIATELY and tell him/her what you're doing.
