A member asked:

Warts are sexualy transmitted infections?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Warts are caused by HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) infection. Virus migrates to the surface of the skin (or genitalia) and from there can spread to whoever comes in contact with skin, lips, genitalia, perianal area. In that sense, it is a “sexually transmitted disease” - ie., can be transmitted during intercourse but also by more casual touching
