Bruxism appliances are usually fabricated for patients to wear at night when they unknowingly grind their teeth. Brush and floss thoroughly before inserting the appliance and you should have no issues.

THE REASON IT IS CALLED A NIGHT GUARD IS FOR YOU TO WEAR IT AT NIGHT WHILE YOU SLEEP AND GRIND YOUR TEETH UNKNOWNINGLY. IF YOU PRACTICE GOOD ORAL HYGIENE AND WASH AND CLEAN YOUR NIGHT GUARD BEFORE AND AFTER YOU INSERT IT THAN NO CONCERNS ARE NECESSARY.
