One's family medicine or pediatrics doctor can do an evaluation for a 17 year-old, and then a re-evaluation if symptoms persist or recur. An Ob-Gyn doctor can offer a second opinion if needed. The question is whether or not there is an abnormal problem vs. normal vaginal discharge in a teen (assuming the discharge is vaginal, which a patient can describe and a doctor can verify). Details matter.
