Mucus vaginal discharge is very common after puberty. There is nothing wrong with your body. Discharge will likely improve time goes by.

One's family medicine or pediatrics doctor can do an evaluation for a 17 year-old, and then a re-evaluation if symptoms persist or recur. An Ob-Gyn doctor can offer a second opinion if needed. The question is whether or not there is an abnormal problem vs. normal vaginal discharge in a teen (assuming the discharge is vaginal, which a patient can describe and a doctor can verify). Details matter.
