A member asked:

I recently found out i have gallstones (4). i dont have insurance so they sent me home since it was not an emergency. fast forward to a month of barely eating, my stool is oily and had black pea size balls. should i be more concerned or go back?

Gallstones in and of themselves, do not usually have to be removed unless you're a diabetic, or symptomatic with nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, back pain, or fever . Why aren't you eating? Do fatty foods make you sick? Have you recently lost a lot of weight? Your lack of insurance does not determine whether or not you need to have your gallbladder removed, your symptoms do.
