A member asked:

I have gallstones. today i've had tannish colored stool but no pain should i be concerned ?

Possibly: If stools are clay colored or light tan, it could indicate a bile blockage by a stone even in the absence of abdominal pain. Brown colored urine would make this a very likely diagnosis. Soft, tan colored stool can also be seen in irritability of the intestinal tract as a forerunner of diarrhea. See your physician or abdominal surgeon for evaluation if symptoms persist.
