I don't advocate that type of exercise if you have active painful hip bursitis. Get it treated by your physician or orthopedic specialist before performing that repetitive activity of your hip joints.

I feel more information is required to make a informed diagnosis. A limb length difference or pelvic rotation can cause hip bursitis if you’re standing or walking any length of time
