Mt daughters provider has told me to continue giving my 2 yr old toddler her xyzal in the morning , but add benadryl at night to help with allergies but how much benadryl? she is 33.0 lbs?

According to the label, use one level teaspoon of Benadryl liquid, which has 12.5 mg per teaspoon, for a child of this weight.

If she is having difficulty at night, mattress and pillow covers, washing sheets in hot water may reduce dust exposure which is a common allergen. Rinse hair and nasal passages prior to bedtime to avoid added exposure. Keep windows closed to reduce pollen exposure and consider allergy testing. The allergy panel blood test may be ordered during a HTMG consult or by your PCP.
