May be the test...: False negative and false positive tests do occur. The test can also be performed in different ways (urine or direct swabs of the genital organs). Some forms of the test are more sensitive (identify more infections) than other tests. Discuss with your doctor if it makes sense to repeat one or both partners tests for clarification of this important issue.
