What is the difference between differential value of lymphocytes nd absolute amount of lymphocytes. my father's lymphocytes are low at14.60 differential value when it should be 20-40. but the absolute amount is within range. why could be it?had covid?

The absolute number is always to be considered since it represents the actual number of lymphocytes. The ratio is calculated by dividing absolute number of specific subsets of white blood cells or leukocytes to the total number of leukocytes and it can be deceiving.
