A member asked:

I was prescribed ketaconozol cream for my seborrheic dermatitis a few years ago. i had used the medication off and on but i stopped using it about 7 months ago. is expired ketaconozol cream dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Likely not. The expiration date on these items is the last date when they are expected to have the strength to do the job. After that point they become weaker and may do nothing. You can always have a sensitivity reaction to such products, like an allergy, but it would likely have shown up to the original product the 1st time you used it.
