You could have endometriosis which is sometimes not visible. samples of normal peritoneum are needed to diagnose because it looks the same as the normal appearance of the pelvic peritoneum. If sexually active, then PID must be considered. Robotic surgery detects endometriosis better. Other ovarian pathology must also be looked into
