First of all, congratulations. While your body heals from the trauma of labor you may notice that certain processes take time to get back to normal. Constipation is normal and can be resolved by drinking copious amounts of water, eating a healthy diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, adding apple juice or prune juice, and if nothing else works, taking a stool softener (docusate).
