See below . If shaving it is suggested to do it in a warm shower and use shaving gel. Shave in the direction of the hair not against the grain. Afterward moisturize( if not allergic to the moisturizer) . Sometimes the ingrown hair follicles become infected. This can be cleared up by using an anti-staph soap such as hibiclens on the affected area once a day for a week. You should definitely refrain from shaving while doing this.
