Extract: Many times the hair will work its way out, but sometimes, it will need to be extracted with a sterile needle by a physician or nurse. If an infection is present oral antibiotics may be necessary. Warm compresses and topical antibiotics like Bacitracin or neosporin could help for mild cases. I don't think Noxzema will help. Laser hair removal is very effective for preventing ingrowns.
