The second dose of Protonix should not do that. Some people take Protonix twice a day for their condition. You probably had eaten something wrong yesterday and experienced a mild food poisoning.

Symptoms suggest partial bowel obstruction/ severe constipation among others. Protonix is not likely to have caused you above symptoms.
