I took claritin for the past 3 days because of dermatitis. i have recovered now, but i have my second dose of pfizer covid vaccine scheduled in 3 days (60 hours later). should i postpone my vaccine appointment for a few days? thanks?

Not for Claritin use. It would have no effect on the effectiveness of this or any other vaccine.

Please discuss with your PCP and the vaccine center. If you are otherwise well, the recommendation is to have the vaccine on schedule.

Fully agree with Dr Ferguson. Am unaware of any antihistamine which could block the effects of a vaccination. Claritin has no immunomodulatory or immunosuppressive activity. Do not hesitate or delay your second "jab".
