Diagnosed with covid (b.1.1.7) on 11 april 2021 and mostly recovered as of 26 april except for gi issues (bloating, upper abdominal discomfort). two days ago i started seeing white mucus on my stool. are stool/blood tests needed? if so which ones?

Your symptoms may be a sign of irritable bowel syndrome. If your symptoms persist, you should be evaluated by your primary care doctor. If you haven’t been vaccinated against Covid, you should pursue that as well. So glad you are feeling better! Good luck to you!

You may be experiencing postinfectious irritable bowel syndrome or mucus colitis. I don't think you need blood or stool testing at this time. Avoid high roughage and gassy foods&beverages and try taking simethicone 1/2 hour after meals to reduce gas formation. See your MD or a gastroenterologist if not improved.
