Postinor-2 is an emergency contraceptive only. It is used to prevent pregnancy when taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse. The second pill should be taken 12 hours after the first. It will prevent 85% of pregnancies if taken as directed, less if not. Use appropriate contraception to help prevent pregnancy.
