A member asked:

Is it unusual my youngest sibling (14 yrs apart) has the same birthmarks and body moles in the same positions as me, but my other sibling(9 yrs apart) does not ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Siblings typically obtain a mixed variety of genes from their parents. Sometimes the genes are more similar between two siblings than they are for others. For example two siblings might have the same color hair or eye color while another sibling is different. The same would be true fir skin color and birthmarks. Hope that helps.
