It is good you desire to lose weight! Proper diet & regular exercise can help greatly, & medications like adipex can give some short term help, but it needs to be prescribed by a Dr with experience in its use who can monitor your weight, blood pressure & progress in person, since it is a controlled substance.

It cannot and it is not as effective as changing your eating/exercise. Get the app Cronometer and see how many calories you are eating and burning. The make decision, after discussion with your Dr, do you want Tom eat fewer calories or excercise more ( or both ) and the weight will melt away. My patients have the best success with moving to the DASH eating plan. Best weight loss so far is 140 lbs
