Confused. one doc tells me to take belviq (lorcaserin) and one doc tells me to take adipex for weight loss. which is more effective and my best choice?

Understandable: Your confusion is understandable. When medicine doesn't have a good solution, you tend to see a variety of treatments offered. The 2 drugs work by different mechanisms-they're entirely different. Here's a 3rd opinion: they both have terrible potential side effects. I'm overweight and would never consider taking either one. I wish you well!

Follow advice: A recommendation to a patient is made after getting a complete medical history, and frequently after exam. I would suggest choosing one of the DR's that you had the best relationship with and following that advice.
