A member asked:

Can high risk hpv viruses be 100% cleared by the immune system if they enter the body?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

You ask the same question with minor adjustments. The family of HPV viruses are well known for an ability to be cleared initially by a normal bodies immune system after about 2 years, however, they can become dormant in select tissues and re-activate months/years/decades later. Vaccination that prevents infection or avoiding infection is the only way to never have dormant HPV.
